Community Bible Study
If you are looking for an in depth Bible study,  Community Bible Study will be starting again for our fourth year on September 8, 2009. Come at 7:00 PM for dessert and coffee. Brian Maxwell, our teacher, will talk about our course for this year, which is Servants of God. We will be studying the books of Joshua, Judges, Ruth and 1 & 2 Samuel. We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 and end promptly at 8:30. Everyone is welcome. If you would like more information, please call Nancy Slater at 635-1066.

SHARED SUPPER

Soon the summer will be over (it seems like it has never started) and it will be time to start the Parish Shared Suppers. Our next get-together will be Friday,  5.30 p.m. in Lower Sutherland Hall.  Please bring a favourite dish (or a recipe you have been wanting to try), a game, your family and/or friends and join us for an evening of fellowship.  If you would like a ride please call either Nancy Slater (635-1066) or Pauline Lucas (788-7762) and arrangements can be made.

Our Family Services - are held [generally] once a month and are children and family-accessible.  The services are inter-generational and involve participation by our children and youth in many parts of the liturgy:  children and youth lead the prayers, read the Scripture, serve as greeters and sidespeople.  In place of the traditional sermon, our Anonymous Parish Poet, prepares a multimedia poem based on the week's Gospel reading.  Music is contemporary but also includes a good mix of traditional fare.  The entire service, including the work of the Parish Poet, is on PowerPoint.  Please join us - our next Family Service is at 10:00 am on Sunday 04 October

The Outreach Committee is requesting donations for our Food Bank: Peanut Butter; jam, Kraft dinner, canned meats [ham, tuna, chicken], canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned pastas, fruit cups, canned juice, lunch snacks, pudding cups, granola bars, pasta & sauce, instant coffee, tea, toilet paper, Kleenex, cleaning supplies, dish soap, garbage bags, Arrowroot cookies, applesauce snacks.  Thank you.  Your generosity is a blessing!
