Younger Saints - UPCOMING YOUTH EVENTS

At the Maypole Tea/Bake sale held on May 1st the youth had a sale table of their arts & crafts! Thanks to Samuel, Grace C., & Veronica who with their enthusiastic, selling talents, sold $85 worth of candy, seedlings/plant pots, & gorp. Yes! Way to Go! A big thank you goes out to the adult volunteers who helped finish our candy products to sell!

May 9th Mother’s Day Service there was a luncheon prepared by the Men’s Group for all the "moms" to enjoy! The Youth enjoyed handing out special gifts, Biblical verse cards and the dessert to all the women present.

On May 11th the Y.E.S. group sponsored a luncheon for our "Sunshine Club". Some of the youth made centre pieces for this occasion, gift bags were handed out and we also had a professional violinist, Tom Hutcheson come to entertain the seniors. A toe tapping good time was enjoyed by all!

The May Stirred Up Cooking class was cancelled, due to lack of response.

A special note here: It is important that we hear back whether or not you are attending; up to 3 days before the Stirred Up Class, so we may prepare ourselves for the days event.

The June Stirred Up Cooking class was held on June 17th with 4 youth, and 3 adults present. The young people learned how to make homemade Mac & Cheese & smoothies ( by "Chef" Winston); 3 various cold salads, mini burgers, pudding desserts, lemonade from scratch (by "Chefs" Joy, Janine, Barb) and the youth demonstrated their individual talents in "table setting", where later, the par-ents were invited to come early for a tasty meal! Y-u-m-m!

The last "Stirred Around" Cooking/Baking bread class (if permissible) will be on June 28th. (June 21st was cancelled due to G8 week).

All Cooking Classes are cancelled for July/August. We hope to resume classes in the fall, if an interest is shown.

A REMINDER: To all parents and youth!

Please remember: The upper Sutherland Hall, stage, & balcony; all upper and lower storage areas, are "out of bounds" and are restricted areas.

No children are permitted to use these areas, without authorized adult supervision. This includes all times of use; such as during coffee hour. Permission forms attending to this matter, were signed by both parents and youth. Snacks, games, crafts are available in lower hall during coffee hour for the youth to enjoy. We want to ensure a safe, enjoyable time for all!
